15th meeting of the IGCS in Melbourne/Australia

Dr. Mehri Jafari Shobeiri International Gynecologic Cancer Society (IGCS) meetings are held biennial. This year 15th meeting of the IGCS was held in the beautiful city of Melbourne, Australia from 8th to 11th of November with the participation of hundreds of gynecological oncologists, radiotherapists and general gynecologists around the word. The IGCS meeting offered a unique program that covered the latest, cutting edge information including innovative surgical and radiotherapeutic techniques, pathology and radiation updates. The meeting also discussed the spiritual, psycho social, socio-economic and sexual aspects of gynecological cancer care, as well as palliative and end-of-life care. The newest clinical trials and unanswered problems were highlighted within this program. In this congress, nearly 278 papers were orally presented and 983 one were presented in the form of posters. I presented my own there papers entitled: 1. Cervical In-situ squamous cell carcinoma and pregnancy 2. Comparison of MTX-FA versus pulsed Act-D for the treatment of stage I, low- Risk GTN: A randomized controlled trial 3. Histopathology features and surgical staging of the cancer of the corpus uteri in Alzahra hospital , Tabriz, Iran In addition to the impact of this meeting on my theory and practical knowledge improvement, it made possible to meeting of very famous and experienced gynecological oncologists and requesting them to co-operate with Alzahra Gynecological oncology group. | ||
