Professor Richard Bruggeman, associate professor ofpsychiatry anddirectorof Rob Giel Research Center at the University Medical Center Groningen(UMCG) was appointed as the first non-Iranian honorary professor of Tabriz University of Medical Sciences (TUOMS) on 16 June, 2016.

Prof. Bruggeman was in Tabriz to collaborate with TUOMS in running a joint Cohort and schizophrenia program and also give a scientific lecture on “Dutch Standard of Care for Recent Onset of Psychosis”.

Professor Bruggeman will collaborate with TUOMS in educational and research programs.
