I was invited to this congress as a speaker. My lecture was presented in 2^nd day and its topic was “Prehospital management of trauma”.  This lecture was about new findings and controversies of trauma management in prehospital setting. I also explain about emergency medical service (EMS) in Iran and its challenges.

  New findings about emergency medicine, disaster, CPR and prehospital were discussed in this congress. The lectures of this congress emphasized the importance and the key role of prehospital emergency in improving the medical care. They also stressed on education and expertness of EMS personnel, performing thrombolytic therapy and ultrasound use in ambulances. Although some experts suggested starting hypothermia after successful CPR in the ambulances, but there were very controversies about this issue.

  The congress was a 3-day meeting which discussed about emergency and disaster medicine.
